Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
The man credited with bringing the “butterfly” style of netminding to the forefront, Patrick Roy remains the only player in history to garner the prestigious Conn Smythe Trophy an impressive three times. We have a stick used by the iconic superstar during his time with Colorado, a model of stick he used in the second half of the 2000-01 season, including the Stanley Cup playoffs/finals, and the first half of the 2001-02 season. With “P. Roy” appearing on the shaft, this KOHO 500 gamer features Patrick's original black gauze-style tape over white on the handle and knob, and white tape over the blade. Remaining completely solid, nice use is exhibited on the lumber, with puck marks and wear to the underside of the blade along with a few abrasions to the front side of the paddle.
