Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

Featuring one of the most beloved netminders within the outstanding plethora that guarded Montreal creases over the past century, Patrick Roy spent 9 seasons with the Habs, spending the second part of his career in Colorado with the Avalanche. Originating from the collection of an NHL equipment rep, we have a great group of game-used Roy items from his time in Colorado, including a KOHO Revolution blocker and glove from 1996-97, followed by a single right pad - also a KOHO Revolution model - along with a pair of different Patrick Roy Avalanche jerseys, with each signed by the 2006 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee.
The blocker features screened-on and rubber identifiers, with light wear to the face and palm, with a small tear on the inside thumb section. This style was used very briefly, with Getty Image #306362 from Dec 16th 1996 matching the loose threads near the KOHO rubber logo, but the image is not in high enough resolution to call a definitive photo-match. The glove also features screened-on and rubber identifiers, with “Patrick Roy” embroidered on, with just light wear present including a few very small and faint stains. The pad is matching in style to the blocker and glove, with a cloth patch over the outer top section. A few marks are visible in spots, with the skate strap along the bottom section gone. One Avs jersey has Starter tagging with “58G-8-24”, with “33” over the sleeve and verso in tackle twill, with “Roy” across the nameplate. Patrick has signed over the team crest in black marker, and the signature displays well, with just minimal bleeding. The second Avs jersey has a size “60” fly tag with tackle twill team crest and numbers, with “Roy” across the nameplate in single white twill. Patrick has signed within the first reverse “3”, with no issues.
