Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Another great group of racing memorabilia offered, we have a Renault Nomex undershirt worn by German legend Michael Schumacher in 1994 (a photo of Schumacher wearing a similar shirt will accompany), Giancarlo Fisichella signed mid-2000s Renault race-used gloves, a tear-away visor signed by Schumacher and a signed 4” x 6” photo. The undershirt has a Sparco label affixed to the inside seam along with an “L217” tag, with “Sparco” and “M. Schumacher” embroidered over the collar and upper chest respectively. The gloves are Sparco Mild Seven examples, with Fisichella signing each over the back of the fingers in black marker. The tear-away visor is 13” in length with heavy wear and glue residue, with Schumacher signing in black marker, with the signature just slighter lighter than when first penned. An LOA from Renault will accompany for the undershirt.
The shirt appears to be a men’s medium, with just a couple very small and faint stains. The photo showing the German icon wearing the shirt is 4” x 6”, with both the “Sparco” and “M. Schumacher” visible. The gloves exhibit moderate to heavy wear, with considerable darkening of the palms. The signed 4” x 6” photo is an action shot of Michael in his Ferrari, with a beautiful black marker signature along with “97” handwritten on the reverse. The photo is currently taped to a second photo of Schumacher. Also included, we have a small black hinged display cases for each item, with one measuring 11 ½” x 9 ½” x 2”, the other 18 ½” x 11” x 2”, with the reverse damaged on the smaller display case.
