Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
An icon in Vancouver with almost a dozen seasons spent guarding the Canucks’ crease, Kirk McLean had later stints with Carolina and Florida before a two-season swan song on Broadway with the Blueshirts. We have a New York Rangers jersey that was worn by the Willowdale native during the 1999-00 preseason. Pro Player labeling with a “G58” size tag grace the collar, with embroidered NHL and Pro Player crests over the reverse hem. Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest in individual drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the solid white tie-neck has been accented with sleeve and verso numbers in matching material. “McLean” also appears arched over the reverse in heat-pressed letters - indicative of preseason use. A few marks are present over the front and sleeves, with especially heavy pilling directly beneath the team crest, along with additional pilling over each cuff.
