Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
From his fourth of seven seasons in pinstripes, we have a New York Yankees jersey along with a pair of uniform pants, with both items worn by pitcher Joba Chamberlain during the 2010 MLB season. A Majestic label sits over the front tail of the jersey along with “2010” and size “50” fly tags, with an embroidered MLB crest over the reverse neckline. Featuring the famous Yankees monogram in navy tackle twill over the right breast, a “GMS” patch for George Steinbrenner sits just above, with a second patch for the voice of the Yankees Bob Sheppard over the left sleeve. The pants also sport a Majestic label, along with a size/year swatch of “62 Chamberlain 38-45 37 OB 09”. Holograms have been affixed to each from Steiner (jersey-149673/pants-147103), with matching LOAs to accompany.
The jersey exhibits some light staining around the collar, with heavy pilling over the reverse beneath the numbers. The uniform pants remain in excellent condition, with no unsightly marks.
