This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Legendary defensemen Ray Bourque, Al MacInnis and Larry Robinson, all Norris Trophy winners, are featured in this lot of five signed Hall-of-Famers game-used sticks. From the personal collection of longtime NHL defenseman J.J. Daigneault, this grouping of five autographed gamers also features sticks signed by Ron Francis and Teemu Selanne. Each of the five sticks has its original tape job on the knob, and three of the sticks have the original tape jobs on the blade; the tape was removed from the blade of the Bourque and MacInnis sticks for their autographs to be applied. Comes with J.J. Daigneault’s signed LOA.
Bourque signed in bold black marker across the front of the now-bare blade of his Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 game-used stick. “Bourque 77” is factory-printed on the front of the shaft , which has Ray’s well-worn tape job on the knob, and “Raymond Bourque 77” is factory printed on the back of the shaft. The NHL tape wrap low on the shaft is partially torn and there are various nicks and marks on the shaft.
MacInnis placed a huge black marker autograph across the now-bare blade of his Sher-Wood P.M.P. 7000 wood stick with “2 MacInnis” factory-printed on the shaft. There are various nicks and marks along the shaft.
Robinson’s dedicated black marker autograph reads, “To J.J. Thanks for the memories”, on the shaft of his Koho Revolution game-used stick, which has “Robinson” stamped on the shaft and his number “19” handwritten in red marker below his tape job on the knob. Game use shows in black marks and red goalpost paint transfer low on the shaft and on the blade, nice wear along the bottom edge of the tape job on the blade, and a puck gouge in the tape on the front of the blade.
Selanne dated “1998” his bold black marker autograph on the front of the blade of his Titan ASD wood stick with a “Selanne” factory stamp low on the front of the shaft. “M” is handwritten in black marker below Teemu’s tape job on the knob, which has a well-worn outer wrap of black gauze tape. Game wear includes red goalpost paint transfer on the shaft.
Francis signed in fine silver paint pen on the front of the wood blade insert of his two-piece stick featuring a Franklin Graphite 8050 shaft. The No. 21 Francis wore during his first two seasons with Carolina in 1998-99 and 1999-2000 is handwritten in black marker at the bottom of his tape job on the knob. Nice game wear on the bottom edge of the tape job on the blade.
