Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
At the helm of the federal government during most of the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt would be the only U.S. President to serve for more than two terms, in office as the 32nd President of the United States from March 4, 1933, until his death on April 12, 1945. We have a pair of signed calling cards, with an example from Roosevelt along with a card signed by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. At approx 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”, “The White House Washington” appears over the upper right on each card, with the Roosevelt a gorgeous fountain pen example, with just very light fading taking place to the signature and light toning to the card. The First Lady’s signature also exhibits some light fading, with paper residue left over the reverse from former scrapbook mounting. An LOA from JSA will accompany, along with additional COAs.
