Selected as the club’s most valuable player by the fans in Florida for 2006-07, we have a BankAtlantic MVP award that was presented to superstar netminder Ed Belfour in April of 2007. At a solid foot in height, the Polish-made lead crystal vase features a crosshatched diamond pattern along the sides and reverse, with an etched Panthers logo along with “Ed Belfour – 2006-2007 Season – Most Valuable Player – Presented by BankAtlantic”. With just light surface wear, the weighty award remains in stunning condition. The original box is included, with “Ed’s Florida MVP Trophy” handwritten on both the side and lid. A signed LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany.
April 2nd 2007 SUNRISE, Fla. – In a special pre-game ceremony on Sunday afternoon, Panthers G Ed Belfour was honored as the team’s BankAtlantic MVP, as voted on by the fans. This year, Belfour earned his 15th 20-win season of his 18-year NHL playing career. He set the Panthers franchise record for consecutive starts in goal with 27, a span that began on Jan. 20 and ended on Mar. 27. Over the course of that period, Belfour posting a 15-8-4 mark, guiding the Panthers back into the Eastern Conference playoff race.
