Playing his junior hockey in the WHL with Medicine Hat and Spokane before going on to play a total of 1135 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of New York (Islanders), Vancouver, Chicago, Toronto, Florida and New York (Rangers) after being drafted 40th overall by the Islanders in 1993. A steady defenceman who also represented Team Canada on numerous occasions, offered here is this Leafs jersey worn by McCabe during the 2007-08 season. A Reebok made offering that sports a lone size "58" label affixed to the inner collar, the front and reverse necklines have been accented with both the NHL and Reebok crests respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it, the sleeves and verso have been styled with McCabe's number "24" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "McCabe" has been spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Also sporting the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast and retaining the fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows game-wear via a small number of board burns over both sleeves. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered "E01472" sewn inside the reverse hem, the company's Population Report lists the jersey as a "Blue Set 1 w/A" example, matching what is seen on the accompanying MeiGray LOA.
