Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
A steady defenceman who recorded twenty-four (24) points in seventy-five (75) games played during the 2002-03 season as well as three (3) more during a seven (7) game battle with the Philadelphia Flyers in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, offered here is this Toronto Maple Leafs jersey worn by McCabe while patrolling Toronto's blue line during that same 2002-03 season of play. Made by Koho and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, a Koho logo patch appears over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield is embroidered into the reverse hem. Retaining its fight strap on the interior and decorated over the front with a Maple Leafs crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it, the distinguished alternate captain's "A" appears over the left breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with McCabe's number "24" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numbers, "McCabe" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting matching alternate logo crests atop of both shoulders and a MeiGray tag numbered "A03487" inside the reverse hem, the jersey shows game-wear via stick marks over the front and both sleeves, a pair of team repairs over the left elbow and board burns plus small unrepaired holes over both sleeves as well. Accompanied by a matching MeiGray LOA listing the jersey as being a first (1st) set offering, matching what is seen on the company's Population Report.
