Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Held in various venues in North America and Europe from August 30 to September 14, the 2004 installment of the World Cup of Hockey was the second time the popular tournament was held, with 8 countries competing including powerhouses Canada, Russia and the United States. We have a Team USA jersey that was issued to superstar Brett Hull for the tournament, and it originates from his personal collection. Labels from the IIHF, Nike and USA Hockey grace the collar, with an additional partially-embroidered IIHF crest over the back bottom hem. Styled with “USA” across the chest completely fashioned in tackle twill, the solid white V-neck has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with the 2004 World Cup crest just above the left breast. An LOA from Brett Hull will accompany.
We should also note that an inventory bar code from Nike is present on the inside hem. With no game-wear as this jersey was only issued, it remains in stunning condition with no unsightly marks or damage.
