Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
One of the greatest goal scorers in NHL history, HOF right wing Brett Hull recorded his 487th goal with this Easton stick on October 22, 1996. The Golden Brett was bearing down on No. 500 early in the 1996-97 season when he moved within 13 goals with this Easton two-piece gamer, which has a Christian wood blade insert with red goalpost paint transfer on the back side. Hull’s original tape jobs remain on the blade and knob, which has red paint transfer and nice wear. Details of the goal number, score, date and assist are written on a piece of hockey tape applied to the back of the lower shaft. Comes with Brett Hull’s signed LOA.
“#487 St. Louis 2 Phnx 1 Oct. 22/96 Geoff Courtnall” is handwritten in black marker on the white hockey tape strip attached to the bottom of the shaft.
