Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
In 2003, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded away their first-round pick in 2000 for established
sniper Owen Nolan. Thirteen seasons later, that same player returned to finish his NHL story
where it all began. Brad Boyes was a savvy, dependable forward who brought veteran poise to
a young Leafs roster in transition—closing out a solid career with the team that first believed in
his potential.
This jersey is a size 56 Reebok-made Toronto Maple Leafs model worn by Boyes during the
2015–16 season. The NHL and Reebok crests are affixed to the front and back neckline
respectively, with Maple Leaf patches on both shoulders. His number “28” appears in white
single twill on both sleeves and the back. The right sleeve features faint board burns, while the
left shows light puck marks and a subtle red scuff on the elbow. “BOYES” is stitched in white
single twill on a blue nameplate across the upper back. A fight strap is affixed inside, along with
a team-sewn patch on the inner hem indicating the jersey’s inventory number, F-0234, which
matches the included team LOA.
