Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Fantastic Boston Garden program is from the 1928-29 NHL season, which saw the Bruins claim their first Stanley Cup title when all was said and done! This program is from Boston’s home game on December 4, 1928, a 2-0 win over the reigning Cup champion New York Rangers. Tiny Thompson recorded the shutout and fellow HOFers Cy Denneny and Harry Oliver scored power-play goals to give the Bruins the win in the first of six regular season encounters against the Blue Shirts, with Boston winning five of them. The centerfold page featuring both teams’ lineups is detached but present in this complete edition of the program that displays no markings and remains in really nice condition with expecting handling and a vertical fold crease. A great souvenir from Boston’s first Stanley Cup season!
