Admirably making the Stanley Cup Finals during their first three years of existence, the St. Louis Blues were no match though for the powerful Boston Bruins in 1970, with Boston winning the cup in four straight games. This lot includes two different framed and signed photos of Orr’s famous overtime goal in 1970 that gave the Bruins their first cup in almost 30 years. Accompanying the photos is an original 18” x 22” advertising mirror for Canadian LTD whiskey that features Orr. The breakdown for the two signed and framed photos of “The Goal” are as follows; 1 – 9” x 11” framed photo that’s been signed in the lower right corner in black marker with the inscription “To Eric, good luck always”. In excellent condition with a perfect signature. 2 – 24” x 26” framed photo (15” x 19” image area) that Orr has signed beneath his image in blue sharpie. A plaque affixed at the bottom lists the photos details, erroneously stating that “The Goal” was scored in game 7, when the series was actually won in 4 straight by the Bruins. A hologram #010323 from New Age Cards has also been placed in the bottom right corner, with their COA affixed to the back.
