Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Synonymous with greatness, those fortunate enough to have seen Bobby Orr in action during his all-too-brief Hall of Fame career will understand and appreciate the way the Parry Sound wunderkind completely revolutionized the game, becoming the game’s first blueliner to focus on offence as much as defence. The winner of eight (8) straight Norris Trophy’s, Orr would also add the Calder Memorial, Conn Smythe (x2), Hart Memorial (x3) and Art Ross (x2) Trophies to his awards showcase during his career along with two (2) Stanley Cup’s and become one of the biggest and most marketable stars the National Hockey League had ever seen up to that point. Still one of the most collected players in the game today, offered here, we present this quartet of graded Topps cards of Orr that date between 1967-68 to 1975-76. With the oldest card included found by a copy of Bobby's 1967-68 Topps "All-Star" card that is found at #128 on the checklist, this particular copy has been assessed a mark of ENM+ 6.5 from the graders at KSA. Followed up with an example of Orr's 1968-69 Topps card (#2) that sports a KSA mark of ENM 6, the final two (2) cards in the group hail from the 1975-76 Topps release in the form of Orr's "All-Star" (#288) and "NHL Scoring Leaders" (#210) examples that have earned KSA marks of NMM 8 and NMM+ 8.5 for their efforts. All housed in KSA holders that remain in overall good condition with light scratches and scuffs present, don't miss out on this group for your all-important collection.
