In 1974, the stars of the World Hockey Association travelled to Russia to battle the top talent of the Soviet Union. The 1974 Series included Winnipeg Jets hero Bobby Hull who joined Team Canada bench mate Gordie Howe for face the Russians. Offered is Bobby's trusty Northland stick, used during the event and later gifted to Russian coaching legend Anatoli Tarasov. A lengthy, red-marker ink dedication in Hull's handwriting runs down the side of the shaft and reads: "To Mr. Tarasov, Sincere thank you to a Great Man and Hockey Trainer, Bobby Hull, 1974". The stick is fully taped at the handle and blade and shows obvious game use with no cracking or damage. Both sides of the shaft are bare of any maker graphics, typical of Hull's early Jets gamers. Stamped "B. Hull" with player number "16" marked in black, referring to the number Hull wore with Team Canada. Originally obtained from the Tarasov family.
