Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024

Feared by each and every NHL netminder for his legendary shot - arguably the greatest all-time, Bobby Hull frustrated keepers further by using an exaggeratedly large curved blade that added an unpredictable flight path to an already deadly projectile. The owner of 913 professional regular season goals between his time in both the National Hockey League and World Hockey Association and a champion of both the Stanley Cup and AVCO Cup, Hull would be inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983. Still one of the most collected players in the hobby today, offered here is this collection of Hull memorabilia. Including a 5" x 7" Wonder Bread image of Hull from the 1960-61 season that remains in overall excellent condition with just light marks on the reverse, the image is accompanied by an original Wonder Bread ad tag that was placed on products making note of the promotion and how kids could save it to send in to receive the photo among others things. The tag measures slightly larger than 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" at its longest points and is seen as being in overall good condition with some creasing observed along with adhesive residue on the reverse. Also including a "Hockey Record Stars" 45RPM album of Hull in an interview with Danny Gallivan from circa-1960 that includes its original sleeve, both the sleeve and record show light wear with the sleeve picturing Hull in his rookie era number "16" uniform. Finally, for the last item of the lot, an alcohol decanter from the 1960s, the decanter stands roughly a foot (12") tall and features the model of a player resembling Hull in his early-1960s number "7" uniform atop a base that has had a label reading "Chicago Black Hawks" applied over the front of it. Remaining in overall excellent condition, only light handling wear is observed throughout.
