Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
The last Toronto Maple Leafs team to capture Lord Stanley’s coveted trophy despite being regarded as too old due to an average age of 31, the blue and white knocked off both the Chicago Black Hawks and the heavily favoured Montreal Canadiens to capture the club’s 13th Stanley Cup Championship during their 50th season of play as well as the 50th anniversary of the National Hockey League itself. Offered here, and originally hailing from the personal collection of Leafs legend Bob Baun, is this pair of cufflinks presented to the hard-nosed blueliner at one of the reunions to mark the anniversary of Toronto’s Stanley Cup triumph of 1967. Made by Tiffany & Co. and accompanied by their original cloth pouch and box, both cufflinks are stamped with “Tiffany & Co.” and “925”. Sporting “67” inscribed within the outline of a Leaf logo, with Baun’s “BB” initials on the other within the same Leafs logo. Both still in good condition and showing just light wear to both including surface scratches, an LOA signed by Baun will accompany these classy souvenirs.
