Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The colorful embroidered Hockey Hall of Fame “Honoured Member” crest patch is sewn on the left breast of goaltending great Billy Smith’s dark navy blue blazer jacket. Battlin’ Billy was inducted into the Hall in 1993, a decade after he won the Conn Smythe Trophy while leading the Islanders dynasty to its fourth straight Stanley Cup. The HOF logo is on the face of each of the blazer’s eight gold-colored buttons. Billy’s wonderfully preserved Honoured Member’s blazer has no size indicated but it measures out to about a size 44. Comes with Billy Smith’s signed LOA.
“Made in Canada” tagging sits in the back of the inner collar and “W.H. Leishman” and “Tip Top Tailors” tagging are sewn on the lining over the inner breast pockets.
