HOF goalie Billy Smith’s 1983-84 Prince of Wales trophy represents the Islanders dynasty’s astounding run of 19 straight playoff series wins, which will likely never be matched. After winning 16 playoff series en route to four Stanley Cups, the Islanders defeated the Rangers and Washington in the first two playoff rounds in 1984 before taking out Montreal in six to win the Wales Conference final. Wonderfully preserved trophy stands 13” tall with four hockey sticks supporting a cup with removable lid. Smith’s name and that of the trophy are engraved on a metal plaque on one side of the 2-inch high wooden base with a green felt bottom. Engraving on the other plaque reads "NHL Champions – New York Islanders 1983-84." Comes with Billy Smith’s signed LOA.
