Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
The Head Athletic Trainer of the New Jersey Devils for a solid decade beginning in 1996-97, Bill Murray was a part of two Stanley Cup championships with the club, in 2000 and 2003. From the 2000-01 NHL season, where the Devils were Eastern Conference playoffs champions, we offer the Prince of Wales Trophy presented to Murray. At 13” in height, four silver-plated hockey sticks rise up from a 2 ½” wooden base to support a cup with an affixed coat of arms and removable lid. A plaque affixed over the front of the wooden base states, “Prince of Wales Trophy”, with “Bill Murray” engraved beneath, with a second plaque over the reverse sporting, "NHL Champions – New Jersey Devils 2000-01". There is an even layer of patina on the surface of the trophy, with a bit of spotting present throughout. The original brown felt is intact on the underside, with an affixed sticker from maker Boffey. A Bill Murray signed LOA will accompany.
