Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Taking part in his first NHL All-Star Game in 2018, Andrei Vasilevsky has been selected to four more best-on-best showcases thus far, including in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023. From the 2018 All-Star Game played on Jan 28, 2018, which featured teams made up of all four divisions, with a semifinal played between pairs of teams, and a final between those winners, we have photo-matched equipment used by Vasy including a blocker, glove and pads. There is also a pair of skates in the lot and a pair of rookie season pants.
The blocker, glove and pads are all matching style Bauer Vapor models in solid white with blue accents, with "Vasilevskiy" embroidered to the interior of each pad, as well as to the blocker and glove. The blocker and glove have decals affixed with "2017 18 Set 2018 All-Star Game BC 2", while the left goal pad has "1st ASG Game Used" handwritten in silver. The blocker has been signed in blue marker (worn), while the upper right pad has been signed in silver. All three items show great use with numerous puck marks throughout. The blocker also has some blue paint transfer. Kay Whitmore in his role as acting goaltending supervisor of the NHL has initialed the blocker, glove and right pad. The pants are Brian's models in solid blue with thunderbolts down each side. Images show that Vasilevskiy only wore these models during his rookie season in 2014-15. Heavy wear is shown, including marks and wear to the material. The skates are Bauer Supreme models with Vertexx Edge blade holders with the blades removed. Each skate has an extra thick plastic cover added to both sides of each boot, with lightning logos and "88" tooled on the outer sides, and a lion with "Big Cat" tooled on the inner sides. The right skate has been signed in silver, with a hologram from the Lightning numbered "09043" affixed.
