Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Must see TV viewing on Sunday nights in the 1950s and ‘60s meant tuning in The Ed Sullivan Show on CBS. The former print journalist became an iconic TV host and impresario, providing a wide-reaching audience to Elvis and the Beatles on his weekly variety show that featured a range of acts and galaxy of stars. This signed Ed Sullivan framed photo display features an 8x10 black and white photo of Sullivan with a beaming smile. “The really big showwww” here is the deceased TV legend’s dedicated blue fountain pen autograph on the matte below the photo, which reads, ‘And they said: “Let there be Light” and along came Jerry --- Always the best, Ed Sullivan’. The lightweight black frame measures a shade under 15” x 11 ½” and Sullivan’s signature displays penmanship that makes it readily identifiable, making this a simple and spectacular display piece commemorating one of television’s foundational legends. Comes with a JSA Auction LOA.
