Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Russian forward Alexei Morozov racked up 25 hard-earned points in 27 games during the 2002-03 season and his Penguins game-worn jersey from that campaign has the signs of his hard work written all over its front. Black marks on the front of Morozov’s 2002-03 white gamer include a diagonal slash below the penguin’s skate and another black mark on the belly above its right glove, and there is an unrepaired hole through the big black mark to the left of the team crest in front of the stick blade. More game wear shows in marks on the left breast, the upper front of the right sleeve and shoulder. There are more black marks at the top of the left sleeve, which also displays some red paint transfer. There are board burns on both sleeves, each of which has an unrepaired hole on its respective elbow. There is a big diagonal line of black marks on the upper left back and black marks and red paint transfer on the back of the left shoulder, along with more black marks on the left rear tail below the “9”, and a black mark on the inner rear hem. Morozov’s No. “95” is written in black marker on the size 54 flag tag that hangs below the Penguins game-worn authentic patch signed by equipment manager Steve Latin in bold black marker. Comes with a Penguins LOA.
