Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Hall of Fame center Adam Oates showed that he could bring it from the pitching mound too when he threw out the first pitch at a Washington Nationals game prior to making his Capitals coaching debut in the 2012-13 season. Oates wore this Nationals No. 77 jersey from his personal collection when he threw out the first pitch before Washington’s game against the Colorado Rockies at Nationals Stadium on July 6, 2012 in his first public appearance as the Capitals’ new head coach. Majestic and size L flag tags hang in the back of the neck. There are a couple of small reddish-brown spot stains on the left front tail adjacent to the sewn-on Majestic Nationals tagging, another on the left rear of the collar, and one more similar spot on the right front near the side seam, as well as faint marks to the left of the red and blue piping in the middle of the front, otherwise in lovely condition. Comes with Adam Oates’ signed LOA.
