Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
The NHL's all-time points leader for players that first starred in the NCAA, Adam Oates dressed for seven different teams throughout his HOF career, and he was selected to play in five different All-Star Games during the 1990s. At the time of his retirement in 2004, Oates' career total of 1,079 assists was the fifth-highest total in NHL history. Honoured by his contributions to the game as part of the 2017 NHL All-Star Game festivities, and originating from a prestigious ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles where the NHL’s all-time top 100 players were named, we have a blazer worn by Oates along with a Bruins jersey also worn by Oates at the event.
A simple black coloured blazer produced by John Varvatos, black buttons are featured over the front and at each cuff, with the NHL's 100th anniversary logo embroidered into the area over the left breast. A John Varvatos label is affixed inside the left side, with the jacket retaining its original retail tag that displays a size "54" designation. A "Made in Italy" label is also sewn inside the inner collar. The blazer shows light wear, and remains in beautiful condition. The Bruins jersey is made by Reebok with "XL" sizing, with a tackle twill team crest and "12" in matching material sewn to the sleeves and verso, with "Oates" across the affixed nameplate. The NHL centennial crest is affixed to the right sleeve. From the personal collection of Adam Oates, his signed LOA will accompany.
