Edmonton Oilers Auction 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2005
After polishing off the Los Angeles Kings to capture the Smythe Division, the Edmonton Oilers faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1989-90 Campbell Conference Championships. Edmonton took the first match but then dropped the next two games to Chicago. The Oilers stepped up their offensive game and won the next three with Joe Murphy scoring the game winner in Game Six ensuring a shot at a fifth Stanley Cup. Direct from the rafters of the Edmonton Coliseum, now Rexall Place, we offer the original Campbell Conference Championship banner, hung to celebrate and commemorate the Edmonton Oilers 1989-90 post-season title. This massive double-sided orange nylon banner measuring approximately 4 by 12 feet, proudly displays the team logo with "NHL Campbell Conference" above and "Champions 89-90" below. All logos, lettering and numbering have been individually applied to this historical one-of-a-kind display. From the archives of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, with accompanying letter of authenticity on team letterhead signed by Oilers General Manager Kevin Lowe.
