Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Leading the NHL in points in six seasons throughout his HOF career, Mario Lemieux made his presence instantly known as a rookie, scoring 100 points in 73 games in 1984-85. A two-time Stanley Cup champion as a player who have adversity like no other during his storied National Hockey League career and the only player able to be compared to the likes of Wayne Gretzky, offered here, we present this lot that features a pair of Lemieux first year offerings from O-Pee-Chee's 1985-86 release. Paced by a copy of his famed rookie card that appears at #9 in the checklist and which was recently graded to the tune of a NM-MT 8 designation at PSA, the card sports good centering, colours, corners and surfaces, it is worth mentioning that there is some minor toning over the front and a bit of a rough cut edge at the top of the card. Housed in an excellent condition PSA holder and accompanied by a copy of Lemieux's rookie scoring leaders card (#262) from the same release which has also recently been deemed worthy of a NM-MT 8 designation with similar attributes, don't miss out on these for your collection!
