Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A chance to score the important O-Pee-Chee rookie card of the guy who may well have been the NHLer with the most career goals had it not been for injury and health issues is offered here, with Mario Lemieux lighting the lamp 690 times in just 915 regular season games. Only Mike Bossy had a better goals-per-game mark in the history of the league. The KSA firm gave a mark of 6.5 ENM+ to this example of card #9 from 1985-86, the latter released the season after Mario had scored his first 43 goals...in 73 rookie season games. Wear at the four corners is observed, with a light ding to the bottom right corner. A half-inch scratch in the holder is up in the label region and does not affect the image of Super Mario.
