Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
This well-worn white Habs uniform was worn by the towering Peter Mahovlich during the season the Canadiens faced the Russians in the 1975 New Years Eve on-ice battle at the Forum, considered by many to be the most exciting game ever played. Manufactured by Wilson in size 48, according to the neck tagging, with Pete’s two-tone number "20" on the back and sleeves and the garter-style fightstrap sewn into the tail. Great game use with six typical Canadiens circular team repairs and loads of stick marks and interior pilling. An amazing vintage durene! Will come complete with a letter of authenticity and a copy of the photo match.
