Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Three Hall of Famers who did not take long to become stars and superstars in the NHL before later becoming captains of their respective teams are featured here, with two of the kingpins of O-Pee-Chee's 1970-71 card set leading chronologically. Stellar signatures of Gilbert Perreault and Bobby Clarke are to report on rookie cards that are in alluring condition, with Bobby adding "HOF 87" beneath his bold black sig. Although off-centered, the Perreault entry is thin, sharp and NM-MT in our book, while the Clarke looks to be NM. Meanwhile, the leader of the Islanders great dynasty, Denis Potvin, penned a thick blue marker autograph to his '74-75 rookie, adding his number "5". It also has a centering issue but is NM with some pack-fresh characteristics. What a trio, with the Perreault and Clarke cards accompanied by Certificates of Authenticity from A.J. Sports World.
