The first All-Star Game played under a divisional format, the 22nd NHL All-Star Game took place at the Montreal Forum, on Jan 21, 1969, with the West Division All-Stars battling the East Division All-Stars. A low-scoring affair that saw both teams switch goaltenders each period with five in total seeing action, the game ended 3-3, with Frank Mahovlich scoring a pair and earning MVP honours. This photo by celebrated lensman David Bier features the West Division All-Stars. At 8" x 9 1/2" and affixed to a 12" x 13 1/2" mount with the players listed beneath the photo, the full team is pictured in their All-Star jerseys including HOFers Plante, Hall, Park, Parent, Harvey and coach Scotty Bowman. The image itself sports a few minor surface lines/indentations, with a dark mark, two pinholes, corner wear and a small tear to the mount. This is the first time we have ever offered this image.
