The 34th edition of the Ice Hockey World Championships, the 1967 tournament was held in Vienna, Austria from March 18 to March 29, 1967 and saw the Soviet Union win the tournament for the fifth straight year while Sweden claimed the silver and Canada the bronze. Finishing with a record of 4-1-2 in seven (7) games played, offered here is this bronze medal from the tournament that hails from the McNab Family's personal collection. Originally presented to longtime Team Canada trainer, Bill Bozak, who gifted to the McNab family when he started working with Max McNab with the San Diego Gulls shortly after getting this medal at the tournament. Featuring the classic design of a goaltender minding his net on the observe, the bronze-toned medal also sports "Championnat du Monde - World Championships" around the top edge with "1967" engraved below. On the reverse, the IIHF logo is present and accounted for as well as "International Ice Hockey Federation" in English and French. Originally made by Huguenin Medailleurs, with their makers mark over the bottom edge of the observe face, the medal, measuring roughly 60mm across, comes with its original cardboard box that has the Huguenin Medailleurs name on one side. In overall good condition with just light handling wear through some light scratches and surface wear observed as well as couple small dings around the edges while the box shows heavy use and small tears plus pencil marks on the interior reading "617 312". A McNab Family LOA will accompany the piece.
