Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Clean bold autograph of one of the game's most elusive signers. Terry Sawchuk's unapproachable nature and premature death make his the most highly valued and sought after signature of the post-expansion era. This example on a photo page taken from Harold Barkley's 1969 book entitled "Hockey" is perfect! Image of Sawchuk making a save while wearing the uniform of the Toronto Maple Leafs, will make a wonderful display when matted and framed under glass. Amazingly, the flip side of the page boasts a photo of deceased Hall-of-Fame netminder Jacques Plante who has also signed beside his image in blue ballpoint!
