Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Pieced-together Parkhurst set has a couple of nice encapsulated contributors, with #23-Stanley and 44-Marshall receiving “7” grades from KSA and PSA respectively, with only 27-Olmstead similar among the raw entries. None of the big names make it to VG, with creases affecting Richard, Mahovlich, Beliveau and Bower, while stains and wear similarly send M. Richard, Geoffrion and Harvey to the “F” neighborhood. Horton looks white/nicer but paper loss (front) and poor registration hamper it. A toned but crease-free Jacques Plante card with rounded corners (G) is best among the keys. F and G examples dominate the rest, with a few VGs and a few but P. Big names for relatively small money are available with these classic collectibles.
The two holders of the graded cards have been preserved in issue-free condition. One not aforementioned card of note is 7-Armstrong breaks through. It is EX-MT (ST), with a wax stain on the back.
