Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Bobby Hull revolutionized the game with his blistering slap shot and unmatched speed. Known
as “The Golden Jet” for his blonde hair and lightning-quick skating, Hull dominated the NHL with
the Chicago Blackhawks, becoming the third player to score more than 50 goals in a season—a
feat he achieved five times. Hull finished his NHL career with 610 goals and 1,170 points, and
his contributions to the game extended into the WHA, where he became a pioneer of player
rights and salaries. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983, Hull remains one of the
sport’s most iconic figures.
Offered here is a 1958-59 Topps Bobby Hull rookie card, graded PSA 6. This pop-79 card is
only bettered by 63 others on the PSA population report out of the 672 submitted to PSA over
the years. The PSA holder that the card is preserved in remains in good condition with minor scuffing/scratches and scuff marks over both sides worth pointing out for accuracy. An important and highly sought-after rookie card from one of hockey’s all-time greats.
