Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
A fascinating story to go along with a reproduction photo of the 56-57 Canadiens makes for a winning combination. Created by well- known hockey man Frank Selke Jr. for Special Olympics Canada fundraising events, the display tells the story of how an 11-year old boy got to meet and obtain the autographs of the 56-57 Habs who were on the same train as he and his mother. Robert Kostiuck's autographed train menu is reproduced here and Jean Beliveau personally signed the story, adding It was a great year! along with 6/56. Limited to just 56 copies, the display was made possible by Mr. Kostiuck's wish to help the Special Olympics and is beautifully matted and framed in Canadiens colors.
