Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Numerous hobbyists will look to scoop up these 1954 Topps Scoop cards, with dozens and dozens having survived in pleasing crease-free condition. We’re not sure though how you’ll feel about the ones (more than half of the set) which have either one or two strips of staining on the back, near the edge. Without taking that into account, here’s some of the condition lowdown: Babe Ruth (also staining in the right front border) is an (OC) NM beauty, with 130-Braves to Milwaukee NM and 65-Marciano, 110-4 Horsemen (subtle reverse stain) and 128-Owens all close at EX-MT. Corner wear sends 27-Feller and 129-Hogan to VG-EX. Multi-creased lower grade notables include 39-Dempsey (F) and 40-Louis (G+). We spot just 24 other creased examples among the rest which provide a fascinating 1000-year history lesson – Scoop cards will forever be popular, with numerous possibilities awaiting the wise high bidder of this inviting group. Missing is #146-Liberty or Death.
