Always popular and talked about highly among those collectors that chase vintage offerings, Parkhurst’s inaugural hockey release from the 1951-52 season is up for grabs here in complete set form with all 105 cards making up the checklist present and accounted for. Paced by the key rookie cards of HOFers Maurice Richard and Gordie Howe, both esteemed first year specimens have been recently returned from grading by PSA where they earned marks of PR 1 and GOOD+ 2.5 respectively for their efforts. Also including notable graded cards of names such as 1-Elmer Lach (PSA PR 1 - HHOFer), 5-Bert Olmstead (RC - PSA VG+ 3.5 - HHOFer), 7-Tom Johnson (RC - PSA VG-EX 4 - HHOFer), 15-Gerry McNeil (RC - PSA GOOD 2), 19-Jim Henry (RC - PSA VG-EX 4), 26-Bill Quackenbush (RC - PSA EX 5 - HHOFer), 29-Milt Schmidt (PSA VG 3 - HHOFer), 37-Bill Gadsby (RC - PSA EX 5 - HHOFer), 47-Harry Lumley (RC - PSA GOOD 2 - HHOFer), 48-Doug Bentley (RC - PSA GOOD 2 - HHOFer), 49-Bill Mosienko (RC - PSA VG-EX 4 - HHOFer), 52-The Winning Goal (PSA GOOD 2), 55-Red Kelly (RC - PSA GOOD 2 - HHOFer), 70-Harry Watson (RC - PSA VG-EX 4 - HHOFer), 72-Howie Meeker (RC - PSA VG-EX 4 - HHOFer), 75-Turk Broda (PSA PR 1 - HHOFer), 76-Al Rollins (RC - PSA VG-EX 4), 80-Fern Flaman (RC - PSA VG-EX 4 - HHOFer), 81-Max Bentley (PSA VG-EX 4 - HHOFer), 86-Teeder Kennedy (RC - PSA PR 1 - HHOFer), 94-Allan Stanley (RC - PSA VG 3 - HHOFer), 96-Edgar LaPrade (RC - PSA GOOD 2 w/"MK" qualifier - HHOFer), 104-Chuck Rayner (RC - PSA PR 1 - HHOFer) and 105-Jim Conacher (RC - PSA PR 1), also included within the grouping of cards that have been graded is the rookie card of HHOF inductee Butch Bouchard, who's cardboard has garnered a PSA PR 1 with an "MK" qualifier for its effort. Of note, there are two (2) photos on the listing showing all of the graded cards and their grades. For the remaining cards, fifty-five (55) in all that are found to be in their original raw and ungraded form, included in the key cards are the specimens of 10-Harvey RC (VG to VG-EX - corner wear and a light mark over the bottom right), 14-Geoffrion RC (FR - multiple creases), 28-Dumart RC (VG to VG-EX - corner wear), 56-Lindsay RC (GOOD - hairline creases at the top left), 61-Sawchuk RC (FR to G - hairline creases and a water stain), 63-Delvecchio RC (PR to F - writing/ink on the reverse), 64-Abel (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear) and 68-Pronovost RC (G to VG - corner wear and slight rounding). For the balance of the cards, those seen as being in the range of PR to FR include #'s 2, 32, 36, 39, 53, 69, 77 and 89, those seen as falling into the category of FR to G include #'s 13, 41, 44, 50, 51, 87, 98 and 99, cards in the neighborhood of G to VG include #'s 8, 11, 16, 18, 35, 54, 74, 83, 90, 93, 100, 101, 102 and 103 while finally, cards in the scope of VG to VG-EX include #'s 9, 12, 25, 31, 38, 40, 42, 46, 57, 65, 67, 73, 79, 82, 95 and 97.
