Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Rarely offered in complete form, we have a World Series program run that spans from 1940 to 1949, with examples for each venue, from each year. Highlighted by a 1941 World Series program for Yankee Stadium surviving in gorgeous condition with the cover signed by HOFer Joe Gordon, the majority of the publications remain in very pleasing and collectible condition, with most remaining un-scored. The 1940 Crosley Field program has been partially scored with a detached centerfold, while the 1942 World Series Yankee Stadium program has been scored for the clinching game 5. The 1943 World Series Yankee Stadium Program has been partially scored with the interior centerfold taped, while the 1944 World Series Sportsman’s Park program has been scored for game 3. Lastly, the 1946 World Series program from Fenway along with the 1947 Ebbets Field World Series program both have wear to the spine, while the 1945 World Series program for Wrigley Field has considerable staining.
