Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
Most likely produced by owner Frank Offerman’s printing company, the Buffalo Bisons of the International League in 1933 issued a giveaway consisting of 20 different 200-piece jigsaw puzzles featuring each of their 20 players, with winning numbers visible once the puzzle was assembled, with the bearer awarded season passes, reserve tickets and box seat tickets as prizes. We have an offered example, with this particular puzzle issued for Jack Smith. 11” x 14” when assembled and complete, we are unsure if all the pieces are present, and we should note some wear including tape residue to the box, with the bottom section split on one side, held together by tape.
