Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A fill-in on the 'Kid Line' occasionally when Joe Primeau was injured, Bill Thoms was a veteran of over 500 NHL contests, playing for both Chicago and Toronto along with 17 games for the Boston Bruins. We have a signed 1933-34 Hamilton Gum card of the Newmarket native, with this example encapsulated and certified “AUTHENTIC AUTO” by PSA/DNA. Signed in pencil across his image, the signature displays well, with the card itself in low grade, with corner and surface wear along with a few creases. The reverse has also been heavily damaged, with some of the text covered by paper remnants left from prior scrapbook removal. Thoms would pass on Boxing Day in 1964 at the age of 54.
