This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Featuring action between the New York Americans and Toronto Maple Leafs during the height of The Great Depression in 1930-31, we have a rare mini poster issued by the Associated News Service with the original mailing tube. At approx 14" x 17", the image depicts action between the two clubs including Hap Day and Joe Primeau for the Leafs and Normie Himes (sic) and George Patterson for the Americans, with a caption beneath. There is also a date of Nov 24, 1930 along the base (the game was played on Nov 20, 1930, concluding in a 0-0 scoreless tie). The poster is in beautiful condition overall, still rolled and in the original mailing tube which has an Associated News Service label addressed to Etzel Delicatessen in St Louis.
